Twice Colonized

.
Lin Alluna 2023

Aaju Peter is a powerful Greenlandic Inuit lawyer and activist defending Indigenous Arctic rights and fiercely protecting her ancestral lands. She confronts colonial powers in Canada and Denmark, urging Westerners to take responsibility for colonial legacies. As Aaju works to create an Indigenous forum at the EU, she also faces a deeply personal journey, grappling with the loss of her youngest son. Through Lin Alluna’s lens, this moving documentary follows Aaju’s transformative path, as she draws strength from her community and her vulnerabilities to inspire others impacted by colonialism.
