Faye Ginsburg
Faye Ginsburg is Director of the Center for Media, Culture and History at NYU, where she is the David B. Kriser Professor of Anthropology. She is founder and ongoing Director of the interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Culture and Media, a joint project of the
Departments of Anthropology, Cinema Studies, and the Film School.
She has been published widely including four books, is an Editor of the groundbreaking collection Media Worlds: Anthropology on New Terrain, and is currently completing Mediating Culture: Indigenous Identity in the Digital Age.
Ginsburg is a longstanding consultant to a number of film festivals including New York’s longest running documentary film festival, the Margaret Mead Film Festival, which is held annually at the American Museum of Natural History; and Reelabilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival.
