At 38, single and broke, Victoria turned the camera on herself and her son, Jim, capturing hundreds of hours across five smartphone generations. From Jim’s first thumbs-up on her ultrasound to his college years, Victoria documents their single-parent journey, including joyful moments, holidays, and birthdays, as well as harder times: her breast cancer diagnosis, Jim’s struggles with depression, and a strained reunion with his father. Motherboard offers a raw, relatable view of motherhood, celebrating resilience amid life’s highs and lows.
