A Still Small Voice

.

In most U.S. hospitals, alongside medical treatments, chaplains quietly respond to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families, and staff in distress. They sit at bedsides, helping people forge connections with themselves, one another, and a world beyond. A STILL SMALL VOICE follows Mati, a chaplain completing a residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, as she learns to offer spiritual care to those facing profound life changes. Following his acclaimed MIDNIGHT FAMILY, director Luke Lorentzen examines Mati’s path to uncover how we find meaning in suffering, loss, and uncertainty, revealing the power—and pain—of genuine human connection.
